Ugh, today was not a good day. :/
In one day I: had a fight with my mom, was rejected from NHS, took an impossible test, and was forced to sit through my least favorite classes.
Fun stuff.
However, there are 3 things on this earth that are HUGE gifts.
1. Prayer and the Bible.
2. Friends.
3. Writing.
For the first one, God knows how to cheer people up by being connected. I just sat during my day and prayed; asking Him to help comfort me, allow me to stay pure in my thoughts, guide me to not fall into sin because of those hurts, put me in a better mood, and realize His will. This helped SO much. First of all, it was like this huge weight was off my shoulders. I didn't feel so burdened or upset. It was very liberating. Secondly, He's helping me out with all of those things that I asked for. He's holding me close and giving me resources to help vent, realize what's going on, and how I feel about them. Also, His word always comes to me in bad times. It lifts me up and makes me remember who He is.
God is so awesome.
The second one is a huge gift. I love my friends and I mean that. As I was sitting with them today, we all started laughing about random things and they are such a great source of love. Anyway, my friends are amazing and I thank God for them. We're all hanging out at the school play tonight and I know it will be fun with them there.
Third thing is writing. One of the first things people will find out about me is that I am so passionate about writing. I love it and am able to express whatever I want through it. Anyway, I've had writer's block for a little while and that ended today. I have several things I want to get out of my head, into words, and onto paper. I already did a song today and I might do another one later. (By the way, music is also another great gift. Helps with emotions. Good stuff.)
So, that's my 'Thank-goodness-today-is-almost-over' blog for today.
