Drive My Car.

When I was younger, I always thought cars had faces. Now that I'm older, wiser, and more mature, I know that's completely silly, that cars simply don't have faces. Cars have souls. I'll concede, soul may be a little much but there's no denying the fact that each car has it's own personality, unique to it's own.

For example, a Mercedes Benz has this, I'm-way-more-awesome-than-you-and-I-know-it type of attitude. I mean, let's face it. Sometimes, it grabs our attention more than the road does.
Then there's cars like a '89 Honda Civic. Let's face it, this is not an "awesome" car. We tend to overlook these types of cars, some even laugh when they come up in conversations.
But what I find is, the car is not made with personality, the person controlling it tends to give it that. For example, I find Mercedes are jerk cars. Yeah, that's right, jerk cars. 90% of the time, if someone is cutting me off, they're driving a Mercedes. I have a huge bias against Mercedes because they are just those type of cars that, the people driving them just don't care what you're doing. So long as you're not getting in their way. Now, Honda Civics I find are usually the opposite. I find that I never have a problem with Honda Civics because the people driving them don't cut other off, honk, or weave through lanes like it was underwater basket making.

So, as previous stated, it's not the actual car that does this, it's the person that controls it. This made me think about what I let control in my life. What drives me? Do I want to be like that jerky Mercedes, cutting people off, or would I rather be a Honda Civic, who is actually considerate? I want to be someone driven by my purpose, integrity, and the fullest life possible. I don't want to be known for having the outside look good, but be a menace to everyone else (even if just in thought). I want to be who I'm designed to be.

(Obviously, the cars picked are just for example. I'm not saying anything about you specifically if you drive one of the above mentioned cars.)
